When he doesn't show up for a service, the parishioners discover his has been shot to death and his wife and children are missing. After an Amber alert is issued, Mary and her children are found in the next state. When the shotgun is discover in her minivan, Mary is arrested. During her trial the reasons she shot her husband are revealed. Is she telling the truth? In 2006, the murder of Winkler was picked up by all the newspapers and online services. It made for riveting journalism, and the movie is just as riveting.
