My Afternoons with Margueritte - La tête en friche (1:22) 2010
This film offers viewers a tender and sweet movie experience. Germain is a big man considered to be an oaf by his French village. Margueritte is an elderly woman who spends time in the park watching the pigeons. Germain and Margueritte strike up a conversation which leads to a relationship. Germain is not much of a reader. Flashbacks show scenes of Germain having difficulty with learning in elementary school. Germain's mother is not maternal and doesn't display affection towards him. Margueritte begins reading books to him and opens up his world. She also builds him up with her nurturing ways. Short and sweet - just like the movie - just see it.
