Brooklyn's Finest (2:05) 2009
Eddie, Sal and Clarence are all members of New York's finest. Eddie is a week away from retirement, Sal's wife is expecting twins and is experiencing health problems, and Clarence has been working undercover. Eddie is taking the path of least resistance just trying to make it to retirement. Sal, a good family man, is struggling trying to get money together so he can buy a bigger house, and drug money is proving to be very tempting. Clarence, while working undercover, has become friends with a drug kingpin. This is a very gritty film with lots of violence. The film does show police burn out and the struggles of low paying policeman trying to provide for his family. I had missed Brooklyn's Finest when it was first released but it was certainly fine as a rental while passing time during Hurricane Irene.
