No Strings Attached (1:47) 2011
This Ivan Reitman comedy involves Emma and Adam, long time friends, who decide that they will have a sexual relationship with no strings attached. No dating, no expectations, no cards, no flowers and no jealousy. Actually, this movie could be titled Friends with Benefits. All is going well until Adam (Ashton Kutcher) realizes that he does want to have a dating relationship, a commitment. This scares Emma (Natalie Portman) a doctor who does not want any relationship. Adam, being deeply hurt, breaks off with Emma. Emma realizes she has made a mistake but there is another women in the picture? Will Emma be able to heal this broken relationship? I have to admit that I really didn't like the beginning of the movie and thought about not finishing watching it. Kutcher and Portman are good together and likable characters. As I continue to watch, the more I liked the movie. And yes, it is a predictable romantic comedy and it fits the bill for a no thinking, sit back a relax for an evening film.
