As 2011 draws to a close in about seven hours, there are three notable movies. Granted, I haven't seen MI3 or Sherlock Homes as of yet, but either one of them will have to go some to pass the following:
The Muppets is a wonderful family movie filled with singing, dancing and corny lines. It is a crowd pleaser as we reunite with the familiar faces of Kermit and Miss Piggy.
The Artist is a black and white silent film which pays tribute to the films of the Roaring Twenties before talkies became popular. A very unique film with no dialogue which drove me a little crazy but it is so well done that The Artist will receive multiple nominations.
My Week with Marilyn is a movie that I saw again today. I took my aunt and my son and they both enjoyed it. My aunt who would be able the same age as Marilyn if she were alive, though it was a movie that showed Marlyn's life with great sensitivity. Michelle Willams will receive an Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Monroe.
