A Look Back - 2011 Fall Movies

As the year draws to a close, some of better and best movies of the year are released. Here are some of the more memorable ones.

October - A Dolphin's Tale and Take Shelter.  A Dolphin's Tale is a wonderful family movie about a young boy and girl's attempt to save a dolphin who has lost its tail. Without a tail, a dolphin can't survive because the tail serves as a rudder. Thanks to a family's efforts in saving a rescue center for sea life, a doctor who works with prosthetics is asked to create an artificial tale for the dolphin. A heartwarming, true story. A must see for the entire family.
Take Shelter is a movie that has the viewers on the edge of the seats asking, "Is Curtis keenly tied to the changes in the environment or is he suffering from the same mental illness as his mother?" Well done movie with a Twilight Zone feel.

November - The Way. Martin Sheen stars as a doctor who journeys through the Spanish countryside on a pilgrimage with his son Daniel's ashes. As he walks and grieves, various characters, and some of them are characters, accompany him along his journey. As annoying as they are, the group bonds. Very touching, quiet movie.
