The Producers Guild of America have announced the 2012 winners of their Guild awards. Their website describes the guild as "non-profit trade group that represents, protects and promotes the interests of all members of the producing team in film, television and new media." The 2012 award winners are:
Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures: The Artist
The Award for Outstanding Producer of Animated Theatrical Motion Pictures: The Adventures of Tintin
The Award for Outstanding Producer of Documentary Theatrical Motion Pictures: Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of a Tribe called Quest.
The Stanley Kramer Award: In the Land of Blood and Honey
No surprises with The Artist, I would have liked Puss in Boots for animation and Project Nim for Documentary.
