First Thoughts about the 2012 Oscar Nominations

The Oscar nominations are in. In thirty three days, the winners will be announced. And who will be the winners be? Although I have some preferences, it is hard to make a final decision until I've seen all the movies. My track record is pretty good but I have not seen Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. This Tom Hanks and Sandra Bullock vehicle was released this weekend but Connecticut had a snowstorm Saturday that left us with nine inches of the white stuff. The other movie I haven't seen is Albert Nobbs. I'm looking forward to this movie, set in Ireland, and have no idea when it will be released in the Greater New Haven area. When I have seen all the movies in each category, there will be predictions and sentiments.
