Life as We Know It (1:52) 2010
Life as We Know It is a year in the life of a man and a woman who are appointed guardians of their deceased best friends' one year old daughter. The complication is that Messer and Holly do not like each other, there one and only blind date was a disaster. Holly and Messer decide to move into their friends' house and take care of Sophie. The next six months are spent changing diapers, trying to get Sophie to sleep, juggling schedules and working on their careers. Messer is offered a promotion but has to move to Phoenix. When Holly finds out that he is thinking of taking the offer, they have a fight and Messer leaves. Holly gets involved with Sophie's pediatrician, Sam, and all is going well into Messer comes for Thanksgiving dinner. Do Holly and Messer discover that the family we make is just as good as they one we are born into? This is a predictable story, very unrealistic in parts, sometimes cute with characters who are very likable. I don't think it really was very good but it was okay as a rental.
