Mesrine: Part 2: Public Enemy #1 (2:12) 2010

Mesrine: Part 2 is the true story of Jacques Mesrine, an infamous French bank robber. Besides robbing banks, he is also well known for his prison escapes, three of them all together.  Mesrine: Part 2 picks up in the mid 1970s as he escapes again from a maximum security prison. He joins with another criminal Besse in the escape and then partners with him in more bank robberies. Mesrine enjoys the attention he is receiving from the press and even is interviewed by Paris Match. This further infuriates the police and they ramp up their efforts to capture him. He realizes that he will not die an old man because Mesrine is determined not to be taken to prison ever again. This is a real cop and robbers movie even though it is in French. Mesrine is a larger than life character and somewhat likable. He is known to honor his word. Please see Mesrine: Part 1 first as the story is told chronologically.
